Dublin, Ireland Day 1

1 flight delay, 1 missed flight, 2 customs forms, 3 countries later – we finally made it to Dublin! While I have never been a huge fan of the Minnesota cold and snow, it’s something I can handle. After getting our flight delayed by 2 hours, Minnesota and I will not be on speaking terms for a while and I am currently holding a large grudge against mr. groundhog. Filthy animal (liar). After getting our flight delayed, we missed our connecting flight to Dublin by about 10 minutes. Our sprint to the gate – though probably entertaining to everyone watching – unfortunately got us nothing but face to face with the rudest flight attendant we have ever encountered. Luckily, we got on a later flight out of Canada and made it to Dublin (along with our luggage, thank the lord) 12 hours after our original plan. 24 hours of travel definitely made for some not so happy campers, but who can be angry after a drink and fish and chips at an Irish pub? Not us!

All in all, it has been a LONG day! I have never missed a flight before so that was the first adventure before our trip even got started. Even though things started rocky, they are definitely on the up and up and I can’t wait to see what Ireland has in store this week! So far on the itinerary we are checking out Dublin, Cork, Galway, the Cliffs of Moher, and we are going on a Game of Thrones tour! Lots of adventures to come!
